Let’s say you miss the first few minutes of your favourite programme. Annoying isn’t it. Usually you’d have to wait for it to appear on Catch-Up and watch it later.

Not any more…

Now all you have to do is go to the EPG and press the “Play/Pause” button on the programme you want to watch, (instead of “OK”).  Your programme will start from the beginning.  That’s it!

Not only that, while you’re on that channel, the system will simply continue on to the next programmes in the EPG.

This feature is only available on our MAG set-top-box, but don’t worry, if you haven’t upgraded already please get in touch for a special discounted upgrade price.

Full 1080p HD at 1.3Mbps with new HEVC https://www.mytvabroad.rs/full-1080p-hd-at-1-3mbps-with-new-hevc/ Sat, 08 Aug 2015 08:42:17 +0000 http://themes.g5plus.net/megatron/main/?p=294 My TV Abroad are proud to be selected by CTU Systems to trial their revolutionary HEVC software.

CTU approached us after reviewing a large number of IPTV service providers throughout Europe. After visiting our office, meeting the team and seeing how we work – they asked us to exclusively trial the software.

For those that don’t know, CTU have developed a fork of the HEVC standard to dramatically optimise its performance across the board. The result is that we can now stream full 1080p HD TV at just 1.3Mbps! Further more, we can stream normal 720p HD at 900Kbps, standard definition (SD) at 500Kbps and low definition (LD) at an astonishing 250Kbps!

Full HD streams at 1.3Mbps means that the market has been opened up not only for home or business users, but also to the mobile device market. We can now stream full 1080p HD over 3G and 4G!

The efficiency of the new technology also means that areas around the world that have up to now struggled to receive any IPTV service, can now enjoy high-quality viewing, even if their broadband connection is as low as 250Kbps (less than a quarter of meg!).

Thanks to the new technology and our current high standard of service, we are at least 18 months ahead of our competitors.

For more information on how you can benefit from an IPTV service from My TV Abroad, please call us on +44 (0)203 368 3866, or use our form here.

What Our Customers Say https://www.mytvabroad.rs/what-our-customers-say/ Mon, 11 May 2015 08:19:38 +0000 http://themes.g5plus.net/megatron/main/?p=282 We recently received some wonderful comments from one of our new customers, so we thought we’d share it with you.

Our thanks go out to Michael for taking the time to share his thoughts.

After seeing the advert in the UJ I decided to give their free trial a whirl. I’m glad that I did!

I filled in the free trial form on the website, and they came straight back to me with a log in to test on my iPad. After 3 days of watching it I was hooked. The wife could even watch EastEnders on catch-up!

After the trial I went with their set top box option, and connected it to my TV – it’s really simple. No sitting around a laptop as we did before! I have all the UK Freeview channels and even the BBC red button! There’s even +1 and 14 days of catch up. The picture is just as good as cable, and in my opinion absolutely amazing for a broadband service. There motto is “Take a piece of home with you”, and the service certainly lives up to that.

I don’t often say this, but I would recommend My TV Abroad to anyone.

Thanks!

Michael.

Ex-Pat TV is now My TV Abroad https://www.mytvabroad.rs/ex-pat-tv-is-now-my-tv-abroad/ Wed, 14 Jan 2015 02:36:52 +0000 http://themes.g5plus.net/megatron/main/?p=251 Over the last few years Ex-Pat TV has seen great success and growth. However that success has come with its problems, namely imitators using the strength of our brand to sell their inferior IP TV products.

We had already intended to re-imagine the brand to represent the service in a more recognisable way throughout the world – so, due to the imitators, a decision was reached to bring that move forward, and rename the brand to “My TV Abroad”.

We believe that a company needs to set itself apart from the rest. This move, along with the raft of new features being introduced in 2015, will firmly cement us in the forefront of the industry – and will leave the many inferior companies that have used similar names to Ex-Pat TV in our wake.

My TV Abroad will continue to offer the service, reliability and quality that our current customers enjoy every day. Find out more about our service by taking a look around our website, we hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,
The My TV Abroad team.

Ex-Pat TV Newsletter – January 2014 https://www.mytvabroad.rs/ex-pat-tv-newsletter-january-2014/ Sun, 02 Feb 2014 01:39:32 +0000 http://themes.g5plus.net/megatron/main/?p=312 Welcome to the January edition of the Ex-Pat TV Newsletter.  This month we want to talk about our January Special Offer, the newly launched Welsh TV Channels and the progress on the Astra satellite amongst other things.

New Scottish & Welsh Channels

We have once again added to our ever expanding range of TV channels by launching our Scottish & Welsh TV service.  We have available BBC Alba, BBC One Wales, BBC Two Wales, ITV Wales and S4C which are all included in our UK package.  We have also added the content of the BBC “Red Button” service on Channel 655.  If you are looking at adding any of these Scottish or Welsh channels to your package then please contact us so we can add the channels to your service for you.

Track the New Astra Satellite

The new Astra Satellite is almost ready to launch with initial thoughts being early February 2014.  We fully expect some channels to start to drop away over the next few weeks so if you are in an area of Europe where you currently pick up British TV via the Astra satellite, then please get in touch with us to discuss how Ex-Pat TV can help.  Here you can track the Astra Satellite live to see exactly when it will reach its final position.  Ex-Pat TV will NOT be affected by the changes to the Astra Satellite as we do not rely on it for our pictures, so existing subscribers will see no difference in their viewing.

 January Special

Why not get your Ex-Pat TV service up and running before the Astra beam leaves Europe.  We have a special offer running throughout February for subscribers to the full UK package who can benefit from a £10 per month discount if paid in advance.  So, rather than paying £29 per month we are offering this service for just £19 per month (prepaid for 6 months).  Subscribers benefit from a huge range of English and Welsh TV channels on a Set top box direct to their TV set, using a very low broadband speed.  Want to know more?  Find out now!

 Winter Olympics coverage

With the Winter Olympics starting on 7th February the BBC have added 6 new channels to supplement their coverage of the games.  Ex-Pat TV has access to all 6 of these channels and so will be adding them to the service free of charge for all additional subscribers.  You can read about the BBC’s coverage of the games here.

 Tell a Friend

Do you have friends or relatives who may be interested in Ex-Pat TV?  If so, then please tell them about our service and we will give you one month’s free viewing for every friend or relative who signs up to our service.  There is no limit to this offer, so if you have many friends in your locality who you think will love Ex-Pat TV, then tell them all – you may never need to pay us again!

What is Ex-Pat TV?

Believe it or not, we do still get asked a great deal of questions about how our service works and what our Set Top box does.  The reason for this is that our service is such a change from the way UK TV is currently retransmitted around the world that a lot of people simply don’t grasp first time how it works.  So here goes…

  • We do not use a Virtual Private Network, so you don’t need one.
  • We do not use PC’s, so you don’t need any IP masking software.
  • We do not use a Slingbox service; so again, you do not need a Slingbox!

In fact, all you need is a broadband router and a TV set.  Picture a Freeview box from the UK, which instead of plugging into your TV aerial, you plug into your broadband router.

That’s it!  No VPN, no PC, no IP masking!  Just a Set Top Box, and a TV (and a comfy armchair for you) gets you LIVE TV from the UK.

Try It Now for FREE

Due to the fantastic uptake of the service, we are continuing to offer our Ex-Pat TV Free Trial service, because, well, people just don’t believe us when we tell them what this box can do with 0.5Mbps of bandwidth, a plug socket and a TV set.  If you don’t, then try it out in your own home on an iPad, an iPhone or your PC.  Okay you won’t see it on your TV set, but you will get the bandwidth test and see that it is possible to watch UK TV abroad, direct to your TV set, without a VPN, without a PC, without masking your IP address, and without using a Slingbox!!

Remember if you like us, please come and be our friends on Facebook.  If you want to track us on our journey, come follow us on Twitter.  We regularly update these pages with new information about channel packages, programming content and much more and we would love for you to be a part of it.

To find out more about Ex-Pat TV, visit us at www.ex-pat.tv or email us at info@ex-pat.tv.  We would love to speak with you about UK TV channels in your country.

Thank you for your time and we hope to hear from you soon
